I had an amazing experience at The Flying Pig Restaurant and Bar! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The real highlight of the night, though, was my server, David J. He went above and beyond to make sure my dining experience was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Now, let’s talk about the food! The Flying Shrimp was absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with bold flavors. Then came the Game Day Combo, which was an absolute winner. The dry rub wings were seasoned to perfection, and the Smokehouse Burger was next-level—juicy, flavorful, and loaded with all the right toppings. If you’re looking for a spot with incredible food, great service, and a fun atmosphere, The Flying Pig is the place to be. Ask for David J you won’t be disappointed!

Brisket sandwich was awesome. Speedy and friendly service and a really great menu with some excellent choices. Everyone at my table loved their meals and we would definitely come back again.

It's one of my favorite restaurants. Wings are the best ever and have always been amazing! The flyin shrimp appetizer is ordered every time. Service is typically very good. Atmosphere, in all honesty upon arrival , is not much to look at. Indoors is a nice bar and surrounding high top tables, TVs, etc. The dining areas are nothing fancy and could use an upgrade. Most importantly, however, the food is always great, and the bathrooms clean.

The best restaurants are usually little hole in the wall places. We ate here on a Saturday afternoon and the service was excellent, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. We had the BLT burger and the Bill BQ burger. The Pattie’s are like steak burgers. The Bill BQ was loaded with shredded BBQ pork. We also had the crispy hush puppies and their home made butter was sweet and delicious. I wish I would have taken pictures of the food but after one bite, we devoured our food. It was sooo good. The fries are very crispy and and seasoned. I highly recommend this to any burger fan.

Everyone in our party loved the food. We had two apps. Fried pickles and hush puppies. I’ve never experienced fried pickles cut lengthwise. Crispy but not greasy with a little salt & pepper or something in the batter to give it extra flavor. Yum. The hush puppies we fried balls of heaven that didn’t even need the butter that came with it. I had the Brisket Burnt End Taco with Mac n Cheese. Packed with deliciousness. The Mac n cheese was creamy, rich, warm you up but not too heavy. The Taco was huge. Couldn’t finish it all. I’ll be dreaming about it. Loved the sweet yet tangy sauce. My husband’s Burnt Ends Mac n Cheese bowl was equally delicious and huge. I’ve never seen him not finish a meal; he couldn’t. The other 4 in our party really liked their food as well. The 1/2 salads were huge. Next time we’re in town we’ll have to come back.

I fell in love with Flying Pig’s hickory-smoked grilled ribs—they are incredibly flavorful and expertly prepared. The meat is exceptionally juicy and tender, effortlessly falling off the bone. Their coleslaw with pineapple is also phenomenal, offering a refreshing and unique complement to the dish. The cornbread is another highlight—warm, moist, and subtly sweet, it perfectly rounds out the meal. However, it appears that the cornbread may not be consistently available, as it was not served during our third visit.

I recently came for the first time ever in 2025, and back already! Tried the Original BBQ pork sandwich, Cole slaw on the side, and then pick another side! The food overall is great, serving sizes are ample, service has always been great, cost is reasonable (!!), known as a friendly neighborhood hang out spot! Great for lunch during workdays, also!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Midlothian, VA! Their food is always delicious. You’ve got to try their wings and nachos! Their salads are so good too, the croutons they use are made of sweet cornbread and just absolutely amazing. We’ve been many, many times over the years. They have daily specials and they’re all quite popular. Depending on the day/time you may have a bit of a wait. Their kids meals include drinks and are huge portions for 8.
